A traveling sideshow arrives in Walnut Grove, featuring a wild boy as its star attraction. This wild boy manages to escape and finds companionship with the Wilders. As they grow closer, they discover that the boy is actually Matthew Roger, and his erratic behavior stems from being administered morphine.
