Meanwhile, Sybil, very much alive, is conducting a class for high school students, whom she plans to manipulate to force Caroline into finding a powerful historical artifact. As this unfolds, Stefan and Damon deepen their allegiance to Cade while putting the ethical principles of a young doctor named Tara to the test.
