Intervention (2005)
S16E5 Barry
Born in a small Nova Scotia fishing town, Barry, 50, was raised in a home clouded by alcoholism and abuse. A close relative hurt him as a child, and he learned to drink alongside his mother—both of them trying to numb the pain. Sober, he’s a gentle giant, but a daily 40-ounce vodka habit turns him violent and cruel, pushing away everyone he loves, including his father and his 27-year-old son, who has cut all ties. Now scraping by in cheap motels between binges, Barry faces one last chance to win back his family and reconnect with the son who’s shut him out.
