The Madd Bubbler, an ancient being residing in an old Thundrilium mine on Hook Mountain, possesses the ability to corrupt creatures, instilling a sinister motto in them: "destroy, or be destroyed." He tricks the Luna-tacs into battling one another, eventually ensnaring Panthro, Tygra, and Cheetara in his influence, pushing them into a deadly conflict. Meanwhile, Lion-O, witnessing this chaos through the Sword of Omens, learns from Jaga that Snarfs cannot embrace evil. He calls upon Snarf and Snarfer, instructing them to rescue the Thundercats from the mine to restore their true selves.
