Mulder finds himself stuck in a car with a man suffering from a debilitating ear condition that can only be alleviated by speeding westward. Meanwhile, Scully works diligently to uncover the root of the issue and discover a remedy. As time passes, Mulder and the man edge closer to the ocean, heightening the tension of their precarious situation.
