S1E9 Morshead Holds Tobruk
By Easter 1941, the only obstacle preventing Afrika Korps leader Erwin Rommel from advancing into Egypt's Suez Canal is the city of Tobruk. Australian General Leslie Morshead and his troops receive orders to hold the Libyan port for eight weeks to allow for the fortification of Egypt's defenses. The brave defenders, known as the "Rats of Tobruk," believe that their success is crucial; failure could mean a devastating blow to the Allies' efforts against Germany.
