S1E5 Casualties of War

The discovery of gold in the Black Hills puts the Lakota's sacred territory at risk. The government seeks mining rights, but Chief Sitting Bull stands firm in his opposition. He is later visited by a troubling dream that inspires hope within the Lakota people. This dream materializes as General Custer and the 7th Cavalry find themselves vastly outnumbered by Crazy Horse and his warriors at Little Big Horn. However, the Lakota's triumph only intensifies the animosity towards them from those determined to eradicate their culture and existence.
