Race is brought in to manage a nerve gas leak in Chicago, a situation stemming from a failed operation involving Dr. Jeremiah Surd from years ago. While Race and Dr. Quest find themselves cornered, it falls to Jonny, Jessie, and Hadji to track down the rogue scientist responsible for the chaos.
