The inmates observe intense fighting from the higher levels of the castle, but they face fierce resistance from the SS as Colditz is besieged. Phil Carrington attempts to reach the American lines, but the chaos around them complicates matters, with numerous hurdles still to overcome before Colditz can achieve genuine freedom.
