Following their baby's tragic incident, Melissa and Lance agree to a ceasefire. Excitement ensues for Lance and Angela when Melissa reveals she is expecting again. Meanwhile, Dr. Lantry, following Angela's scheme, informs Maggie and Michael that Chase's spinal bullet has led to an infection, necessitating potential surgery. In a sinister twist, Lantry secretly administers drugs to Chase via his IV. Richard grapples with guilt after Philip discloses that Jacqueline sacrificed herself to protect him during the shooting. Together, Richard and Melissa plot to manipulate Julia into seeking vengeance for their parents' deaths. Meanwhile, Maggie urges Michael to confront his fears and take charge of Chase's case. Later, Dr. Lantry celebrates with Angela, revealing that Chase's fever is escalating dangerously, leaving Angela horrified as he reminds her of her complicity in the crime.
