In this episode, host Kevin O'Connor joins master carpenter Norm Abram and homeowner George Mabry as they examine the recent water damage in the aging kitchen, leading George to consider a full renovation. Master mason Lenny Belliveau teaches Kevin the intricacies of block work while constructing a lower landscape wall to the correct height. Kevin then heads to Los Angeles to explore a beautifully restored modern home that was once owned by Hollywood icon Gary Cooper. Inside the library’s entryway, general contractor Tom Silva demonstrates how he's framing a future pocket door using fir two-by-fours positioned sideways.
