Under the influence of Conrad Chandler's powerful serum, Orwell battles the overwhelming physical and mental effects of the drug. At the same time, the reasons behind Netta's unusual allegiance to The Lich come to light. As Orwell lies in a sedated and vulnerable state, she oscillates between reality and vivid dreamlike sequences that gradually uncover her backstory and past experiences.
