In A Woman Called Moses, Cicely Tyson portrays Harriet Tubman, depicting her early life as an enslaved person. Although her new master presents himself as just, he subjects her to brutal treatment, igniting her determination to flee towards freedom in the North. Once she reaches safety, Tubman feels compelled to return and assist others still trapped in bondage. Orson Welles lends his voice as the narrator for this adaptation of Marcy Heidish's novel.
