The doctors are deeply worried about a shortage of ventilators at the hospital as a mother and daughter, both in critical condition from COVID, vie for the last available machine. At the same time, Hayes’ sister-in-law, who has multiple sclerosis, finds herself hospitalized due to a kidney stone. Meanwhile, Amelia takes on the role of babysitter for the day, temporarily expanding the household with a few extra kids joining in the chaos.
