Title: Log 088: Reason to Run Plot: Malloy and Reed respond to a theft at a riding stable owned by former actor Slim Berkeley. Slim is wary of those around him after $100 and a gold belt buckle go missing. His young assistant, who has a criminal past in New York, becomes a suspect, but a search yields no evidence. A distress call from a phone booth reveals the man inside is being assaulted, leading to a drug bust and leaving Reed with a sore jaw. Meanwhile, Reed witnesses a robbery at a drive-in, culminating in a dramatic shoot-out.
