In the small town of Noel, Missouri, a shocking bank heist occurs, resulting in the theft of $71,000, and the bank president, Dan Short, mysteriously disappears. Suspicion arises that Short may have orchestrated the crime himself. Five days later, a grim discovery is made when a body is uncovered in the murky waters of the Great Lake o' the Cherokees, raising further questions about the fate of the missing bank president and the true nature of the robbery.
