Beaver and Gilbert visit a carnival where Beaver unexpectedly wins a stunning fourteen-carat gold locket from one of the games. Initially, Beaver considers gifting it to June, his mother, but with Gilbert’s encouragement, he opts to present it to a girl he has a crush on instead. However, things take a turn for the worse when the girl's parents find out about Beaver's gift, revealing that his decision might not have been the best one after all.
