Ali learns that suspected killer John Watts is about to be extradited to Texas for trial. Determined to keep him from facing the death penalty, which she opposes, she pushes to have him convicted in Canada for Gus Johansson's murder. While she and Agent Mitchell—who's there to extradite Watts—try to question him, he grabs an officer's gun and takes Ali hostage. Meanwhile, Nicco insists to Andy that his encounter with police psychiatrist Leanne Walker was consensual, but she threatens to press charges unless he resumes therapy with her. Elsewhere, Mickey checks an apartment for Christine's replacement, Denise, and discovers a recent spike in rapes in the building.
