S4E4 Kitchen Coleslaw

Jan 06, 2005 Season 4 Episode 4 News

Don and his dog, Parker, purchased a stunning Victorian townhouse that was 120 years old, and they set out to completely revamp the kitchen. This extensive renovation involved not just a redesign but also relocating plumbing, electrical systems, and ductwork. However, as the project progressed, delays became evident, and Don started to realize that things were amiss. Making a wise decision, he chose to part ways with the contractor, who turned out to be a glass installer dabbling in renovations. Mike Holmes quickly uncovered a range of issues, including shoddy work and longstanding problems hidden behind the drywall and floors. The main floor was a patchwork of outdated fixes, with inadequate HVAC, suspect plumbing, and unsafe electrical wiring that needed addressing before the kitchen could be completed. Once everything was brought up to code, Mike and his team expertly brought Don's dream kitchen vision to life, providing him with the space he had long desired.
