Before food reaches your kitchen or even the grocery store, it all begins on a farm. This land is dedicated to cultivating crops and raising livestock. Modern farming has become quite intricate, blending agriculture with science. Farmers act as agricultural scientists, diligently maintaining the health of their land. They aerate the soil to ensure that microorganisms thrive and roots receive proper oxygen by stirring it up. To safeguard plants from harmful pests, they may use chemical or biological pesticides, while beneficial creatures like bats and certain insects help control pest populations. Livestock require care, from milking and feeding to shearing and cleaning.
