S5E5 Outdoor Planters
Norm sets out to build two distinct outdoor planters: the first is a square design featuring raised panels, while the second boasts a larger, rectangular shape with vertical slats. The skilled woodworker showcases the process of creating the raised panels for the smaller planter using a table saw and demonstrates how to craft its finials on a lathe. Both planters are made from "sinker" cypress, a durable wood ideal for outdoor use that ages to a beautiful silver-gray patina.
