Through stunning computer animation and breathtaking astronomical visuals, Dr. Sagan illustrates the life cycle of stars, detailing their birth, existence, and eventual demise, which can lead to the creation of neutron stars or black holes. Later, we travel forward in time to experience what is deemed "the last perfect day on Earth," set 5 billion years from now, when the sun will ultimately consume our planet in its final moments.
