A group of criminals hatches a plan to orchestrate highway accidents, luring truck drivers to assist victims, only to attack them and steal their cargo. When Chief Mathews learns that the owner of a trucker-frequented diner is secretly alerting the hijackers, he devises a clever scheme to draw the gang out, aiming to catch them in the act.
