Jesse Palmer kicks off the season with a festive spirit, inspiring the 12 bakers in the inaugural Preheat challenge to whip up delicious meringue pavlova wreaths infused with autumn flavors. In the Main Heat, Jesse stirs up a longstanding debate about the ultimate holiday dessert by splitting the bakers into two teams: pie and cake. The winning team earns immunity for their members, while the judges—Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman, and Carla Hall—eliminate one baker from the losing side.
