Blanche is taken aback when a stranger arrives at her doorstep, asserting that he is the illegitimate child of her deceased husband. At the same time, Dorothy and Sophia decide to participate in a mother-daughter pageant being held at Shady Pines, adding a dose of competition to their relationship.
