Gene tries out for a minor role in a community theater production, but his excitement quickly turns to confusion when he learns that Linda had a hand in securing the part for him by negotiating with the director. What he thought was a genuine audition turns out to be influenced by Linda's behind-the-scenes efforts, leading Gene to question his talent and the integrity of the opportunity.
