Following the brutal slaying of his stepmother and three younger siblings, James Wiley receives a life sentence in prison. He manages to break free and flees into the vast Wyoming wilderness, clinging beneath a big rig as it roars down the highway. In a moment of desperation, he reaches out to a friend for assistance at a rest stop, but his plans unravel when he is discovered and returned to incarceration.
