After a man strikes it rich and breaks up with his girlfriend, he's found murdered. Grissom, Nick, and the new CSI recruit, Sara Sidel, take on the case. Meanwhile, Holly Gribbs is recovering in the hospital, and Warrick faces suspension for abandoning her at the crime scene. Unfortunately, Holly succumbs to her injuries, but Grissom ultimately decides against suspending Warrick.
