Title: The Hunger Strike Plot: In the first installment of a two-part story, Bertie Wooster is summoned to Brinkley Court by Aunt Dahlia to present awards at the Market Snodsbury Grammar School. Seeking to escape the dreaded prize-giving duties, Bertie concocts a plan that not only aims to assist Gussie Fink-Nottle in his budding relationship with Madeline Basset but also provides him an exit from the event.
