House Without Roof (2017)
Alan, Jan, and Liya, siblings with roots in Kurdistan but raised in Stuttgart, embark on a challenging journey to fulfill their late mother’s last wish: to be interred alongside their father, who perished in the war, in their ancestral village. Despite opposition from their clan, the trio bravely ventures into the conflict-ridden homeland, confronting both physical dangers and emotional turmoil along the way. Their quest becomes a poignant exploration of family bonds, cultural identity, and the lingering echoes of the past amidst a landscape marred by conflict.
