Impressively, Toad reveals that the expensive regimental painting, which Lexie accidentally damaged, is actually a forgery, preventing a costly insurance claim for the estate. The adventure culminates in a thrilling escape reminiscent of The Great Escape, with Hector and the veterans aiding Toad in evading the police, ultimately helping him take off in a seaplane to freedom.
