During the bustling summer season, Sodor welcomes an influx of tourists, prompting The Fat Controller to worry about timely transportation. Duck shares his knowledge about slip coaches from his time on the Great Western Railway, which can be uncoupled at stations without halting. Seizing the opportunity, James eagerly informs The Fat Controller, falsely claiming the idea as his own. However, James lacks experience with slip coaches, and his attempts lead to a series of mishaps that complicate the situation further!
